City Clerk, Ona Malleck and her assistant clerk, DeAnna Brown are located at the City Office. James Blume is the Utility Supervisor and his assistant in Bill Baumbach. Judy Hollers is the Librarian.
The Utility rates are:
- Electrical Deposit for Commercial: $250.00
- Electrical Deposit for Home owner: $90.00
- Electrical Deposit for Renter/Trailer: $150.00
Idle Services Service Available (No Meter) except Trailer Court Hook-Ups, Storage Units & Apartment Complexes is $8.50
Electrical rates for Home owners are Summer rate (June through September) $.10397 per KW used & winter rate (October through May) $.08073 per KW used along with a Service Charge of $12.50 per month.
Electrical rates for Commercial/Schools are Summer Rate (June through September) $.10610 per KW used for the first 4000 KW, $.09351 for the next 4000 KW and $.08757 for over 8000 KW along with a Service Charge of $18.50.
Electrical rates for Commercial/Schools are Winter Rate (October through May) $.08235 per KW used for the first 4000 KW, $.07278 for the next 4000 KW and $.06826 for over 8000 KW along with a Service Charge of $18.50.
Water Deposit for Owner/Commercial: $25.00
Water Deposit for Renter/Trailer: $50.00
Water rates are $1.20 per thousand gallons used along with a Service Charge of $31.00 per month.
Sewer Rates are average $20.38 and are based off of your water usage during the months of December, January and February at $1.50 per thousand along with a $17.00 Service Charge.
Trash is $17.00 for Commercial and $13.00 for Home Owner and is picked up weekly.
The Indianola Public Library is open Thursday afternoon from 1-6 P.M., Wednesday afternoon from 4-9 P.M. and Thursday afternoon from 1-6 P.M. Judy Hollers is the librarian.
To contact the city office call 308-364-2413 during the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday except from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. when they are closed for lunch. Closed Saturday and Sundays.
