Every year for over 100 years the city of Indianola has held their town celebration, Old Settlers. The traditional day was the third Thursday of August for many years but with the changes of school starting earlier and more people working, especially the women, it was decided to break the tradition and go to the second Saturday to try and draw the crowds again. Class reunions are held this weekend also.
